Double click on the text object in Preview window or in Timeline to open a Text Properties Window.

 

Font settings

At the top of the window you will see the common text settings control such as Font, size, bold, italic, underline, alignment and color.

 

Alpha

To set the text transparency. 100% is a completely transparent.

 

Content

To type in the text content. You can insert the following macro which will get replaced automatically by Flash Demo Builder during export.

#PAGE# = To insert the page number

#QUESTION_NUMBER# = To insert the current quiz number. Eg: The first quiz will have QUESTION_NUMBER = 1, the second quiz will be 2, etc.

 

Apply font settings to other similar objects

When checked, clicking OK button will apply the changes to font settings above to all text objects within the presentation.

 

Show after

The time the object will start showing.

 

Show type combo

To change how the object will show. There are two options:

·Show For x seconds

The object will only show for the duration of x second where you can type in the duration value.

·Show Forever

The object will show as long as the slide is running.

 

When clicked

To choose an action to perform when the object is clicked. There are 6 options:

·Do nothing
·Open a website

This is useful to make a web link.

·Goto a slide

To jump to a specific slide.

·Play

This will play the currently paused slide.

·Pause

This will pause the currently playing slide.

·Send email

This is useful to make an email link which will open an email client when clicked.

 

Fade In

To show the object with a fade in effect.

 

Fade Out

To hide the object with a fade out effect at the end of its duration.

Note that to be able to use fade out you must make sure the object duration is at at least one frame less than the page duration and the object show type is not set to Show Forever.
